There are various ways to prepare natural stone. From polished to sandblasted and brushed solutions, Coatline has a selection of finishes to fit your ideas and applications. We can advise you on the best technical solutions for each project.
Stone used for each finish | Infinity Black
POLISHED
The stone has a shiny surface with almost zero porosity. This finish reveals the colour of the materials as well as its specific characteristics (vein, grain, etc.), highlighting the colour and properties of the natural stone. Ideal for use on interior walls, floors and kitchen countertops. Has lower slip resistance so is not recommended for exterior paving.
HONED
This surface is smooth, totally straight, flat and honed. It reveals the true colour of the materials, in a matte and non-shiny finish. This is the finish that is closest to the stone’s natural characteristics. Ideal for small and large paving and walling surfaces.
BRUSHED
A slightly uneven but smooth surface. The materials maintain their colour and structure but with a slightly dull tone. The stone can be brushed to different degrees to obtain different results. This finish gives a sleek and aged look and is recommended for interior and exterior flooring and cladding.
SANDBLASTED
A semi-rough surface that is uneven to the touch. The finish allows the material’s colouring to come through, achieving uniformity. As it is slip resistant and semi-rough, it is recommended for exterior paving and popular for shower pans and anti-slip strips.
